I am single Developer in my company. Right now I am serving notice period. It looks like my company not looking for my replacement. Due to lockdown, they have given me half salary and asked for full working hours. Now, when I put resignation they asking me to complete 2 months of work in 30 days notice period.

Hi Rahul, Please follow what they mentioned in your appointment letter, if there's only 30 days notice period just serve it accordingly & ensure to share daily working report to your reporting head and keep one copy with yourself, it'll help you at the time of relieving for any kind of negotiation by employer.

Hi Rahul,
It's an extra-ordinary situation. Job market not that rosy due to after effects of lockdown, just started slowly limping. But in your case, it's ok legally to say to go by one month notice. But fact remains, you would need a clean 'relieving letter' & full/final settlement when you leave ultimately. Are you prepared to quit even when either they might delay or may not issue a clean RL? At this juncture I don't think you are placed well to risk quitting without docs to comfortably join other jobs. Think it over and choose between the two. You are the better judge.
