I would like to have a favour from you in sharing some of your knowledge to us. AS per labour law, there should be 26 working days. In months where there are 31 days and if the no. of Sunday is 4, then the working days become 27. Can we show 27 days in the Salary/ Wages Salary?
Again in a month of 30 days, if there are 5 sundays, the total working days become 25. Is it ok to show 25 days?

yes, you can show the actual No. of working days in a particular month. Feb may be 24 days. pon

Das, Yes you can go ahead and reveal the exact no. of working days. Its no matter whether it is 25 or 26 or 27.

The system of 26 days wages for all months can also be followed for computing wages. In this case irrespective of the number of physical working days of the month the wages are paid for 26 days including February. This system is followed where the annual leave credited to an employee is followed on a consolidated days basis. Otherwise the actual working days is followed.

it is okay. Form -12 we will show the actul sunday either it is 4 or five and working days 26 or 25. Sanjeev Executive HR

I have logic regarding this issue:
365/12=30.46- 4 (weekly Off) =26 working days.
In our Co. we are using this formula for calculating the Out-sourced employees payment
i.e 260/26=10*10000(Rate)= 100000/-

the labor laws shows that number of working days in a week should be 6 days out of 7 days. If we show like that there is no problem about 26 or 27 or 28 days in as month.
