How do you prepare an offer letter of a regular employee? The same should be the format for a fixed period employee with just one additional service condition that:

Your appointment is for a fixed period from....date till....date......Since this is a fixed term contract (FTC) for one year/two years employment, the employment will be terminated automatically on .........date without any notice. However, before the tenure of employment fixed, both the parties (employee and the employer) shall terminate this contract of employment by giving one month notice or payment of salary in lieu of that notice from either side. The notice aforesaid will not be applicable if the termination is on the ground of any misconduct proved against you/ the employee.

All other terms and conditions of employment should be the same.
