Dear HR professionals, If the firm is a startup and no soft skills or HR training has been given to the employees. Is it good to provide the training now as if the employees had been working at the firm for around 1 year and above?

Hi,

Training can be imparted to employees any time, irrespective of experience level, based on the requirement.

But you belong to what industry? and why you want to impart soft skill training to employees? In what way it is going to be beneficial to the Organization ? How you identified the training need for employees ?

Training is an investment in people's skill - technical and behavioural. Training is a continuous process and not an one-time affair. Companies who invest in human resources through competency and skill enhancement, they will succeed. Organisational growth will be there Training requirement is assessed through Training need analysis. It is a three-pronged approach. Seek employees need from themselves, which can be corroborated by the team leader or immediate superior who can quote instances where the employee concerned needed a particular training. The third approach is organise popular training courses and seek nominations from employees, duly justified by the team leaders or department heads. Ultimately, the employee and the organisation will be greatly benefited if you do not compromise on the quality of the trainer. Best wishes
