Dear Atif ,
Resignation, once accepted and acted upon extinguishes the contract of employment once for all and therefore no revival of the same contract once again by rejoining. There would be no bar on rejoining the same post in the same organization subject to the approval of the employer but the subsequent service would be a fresh one. The noteworthy [point in such a case is that no employer or employee would prefer the refund of the terminal benefits settled already on account of the resignation.

Dear member,
For rejoining a former company, there is no formal requirement to have a gap between the two tenures. If the former company is ready to accept your candidature then go ahead and join them. When an opportunity knocks the door, the door should be opened immediately without specifying the time span for the knocking.
Thanks,

Sir,
What were the circumstances of exit?
Has the bank offered you a job again?
There is no gap required between exit and rejoining, if both parties-employer and employee are ready to restart a fresh employer employee relationship.
Please go ahead and discuss and join your old organisation.
