Hello Sir, I submitted my resignation letter on 18th November. There was no particular mention in the contract about the notice period for resigning from work. There was just a simple 1-page offer letter (soft copy Word file) with mention like:
1) For whom (the company) I'll be working
2) My monthly salary
3) Fixed term period of work for 1 year (i.e., I will not be working for more than 1 year)
I joined a company through a 3rd party vendor. I receive my salary from this vendor, not the company.
I need to join somewhere else on 26th Nov. My vendor employer is not allowing such a thing.
And I'll be completing my current Work in progress before 24th Nov. Please Guide.

You have full freedom for changing your employer. As per the contract, you have to serve
one year service, which you served. If your prospective employer is not concerned about the
Relieving letter, there won't be any problem. You can inform your prospective employer that you are not a direct employee of the company.

It appears, your Fixed Term Appointment is upto 24th November 2020 and is not extendable beyond this date. So the appointment automatically extinguishes on 24th November 2020. You have already submitted resignation on 18th November 2020 indicating your position that you would not be interested to continue any further. Since you have not been so far informed of your service beyond 24th November, you are well within your rights to refuse the same.
