Hello All, I am a fresher, I had applied at HCL tech and got selected after completing all my interviews and salary discussions. I got an offer letter with a DOJ of 30th Sep 2020. Just one day before my joining my recruiter called me and said my BGV (Background Verification) is still processing so my DOJ will be postponed. After this, I get a new letter saying my DOJ is 12th Oct 2020. then again just one day prior to my joining I get a mail from my recruiter that my BGV is still processing and I will get a new DOJ.
My recruiter is not answering my calls, not replying to my emails. What should I do? I have no idea why BGV is taking soo much time. I had submitted my docs on 16Sep2020

Dear friends,
At times such delays do happen. Normally, BGV in respect of freshers will not take much time. If it takes such a long time means the requirement of the recruiter is being reassessed in tune with the present position. Even, owing to the economic scenario obtaining currently, the Company may cancel all fresh appointments. You have to wait only. If you get any better opportunity in the meantime, you can avail it after due intimation to the company.

Thanks for your suggestion but my question is I have 3.2 years of experience and wrote resignation after got offer letter and turned down other offer by reason stated that i have got good opportunity now at last moment they told my bgv is in progress and DOJ is delayed by 15 days . I am not asking any compensation for that it is not good . The exact reason behind this my current company is coming under subjective hiring because someone did fraud by using my company name it doesn't mean everyone do so I gave all my documents from offer letter to exp/reliving letter that is actual reason because HR told me now i have only one job if i have other offers that not worry to much

but the bgv thing every company I need to face so what i have to do start giving interview or wait for them

Sir Umakanthan53 suggest me

Hope that your resignation from the present job is not yet acted upon and you may be serving the notice period. Better inform the prospective employer this fact and high light the point that so far as your entire credentials are clean, further delay due to their hesitation if any on account of subjective hiring can adversely affect your career with uncertainty and after all these you may be constrained to reconsider your acceptance of their offer.
