Hi, I have been working in a private sector for 3 years. I applied for 6 months maternity leave and HR is saying they can give only 3 months paid leave and rest will be loss of pay. Can you please advice if leave policy differs from every company or should they abide by the Maternity benefit Act 2017?

The Act with amendments providing MataernityBenfits to all Eligible Woman-Employee applies to all Establishments without any Exemptions and failure to comply therewith is Punishable by Laws.
