Hi, Can anyone please help me with the following case study: MILK PRODUCTS LTD.

This industry is engaged in collecting, processing & distributing their products on daily basis. The Co. has a crew of distributors.

Mr. Kamlesh (B.com) joined the crew of distributor. Distribution Manager impressed by Kamlesh but could not offer him better job than that of distributor. With a promise to give him better opportunity whenever available.

Distributors employed on monthly salary basis. To ensure distribution of product, the Co. has a provision of Over-Time pay. Normally crew member work slowly in the beginning just to accumulate OT pay. The pace becomes hectic towards the end of the day with some OT to meet the distribution schedule. With no group leader & old timers influencing new comers Kamlesh did not like this.

After a year, impressed by Kamlesh performance, Manager offered him post of DISTRIBUTION SUPERVISOR. Basic duties of Supervisor - Look after distribution & develop new customers in a given area. Besides Kamlesh there were 4 other supervisor.

Kamlesh was sure to improve the distribution system as he was aware of about the delaying tactics of the crew. He talked to the manager about fixing the quota of work per day in two parts before & after lunch. The Distribution Manager felt convinced & introduced the system. However, the efficiency dropped down & no crew member was near the target.
