Hi, I have worked for a company in Hyderabad for 7 years and 3 months, then moved to Chennai and joined a new company. I transferred my PF; however, HR provided me with a new UAN number (even though I had given him the old UAN). After a year, I joined my present company in Pune and have been working there for the last 3.5 years.
Recently, I noticed in my PF statement that the EPS amount has not been transferred, and I discovered that it may not be transferred. To retrieve my EPS amount, do I need to take any action, such as obtaining a scheme certificate?
Company1 (Hyderabad): UAN1 # PF1 with 7.3 years of service
Company2 (Chennai): UAN2 # PF2 with 11 months of service
Company3 (Pune): UAN2 # PF3 with 3.5 years of service (still working)
My total service experience so far is 12 years. I withdrew PF from the previous two companies listed above, but I am unsure if I received EPS benefits.
Could you please advise me on what actions I need to take to secure my EPS, considering I am only 33 years old and thinking about retirement planning?
Additionally, what should be done if the service period is less than 5 years (as in the case of my brother, who is still employed in a new company, and the old company UAN is different)?
