My employer has not been issuing salary slip every month. even after requesting several times I have been denied salary slips.
Is issue of salary slip mandatory for the employer? can I demand the salary slip from the employer?

Yes, please insist on being issued a Salry Slip , it is Not Just, Proper andFair but ist is also Mandatoty for the Employer to Issue the Wage/SalarySlip. Pursue te matter wit your HR Dept and your Dept. Superiors reminding them that it is Lawful, Legitimate , Ethical and an Act of Transparancy.
It is shocking that even Transactional matters like issue of Salary Slips are an Issue Nowa days.

A worker has the right to know his total earning and deductions if any from the earnings. It is binding on the employer to provide the worker with a salary slip every month. What is the reason for his denial? Is he paying as per the MW of your state?

Dear Anonymous
Under contract labour regulation and abolition act Form XIX Rule 78(1)(b) and under Minimum wages rules Wage Slip is mandatory .
While factories act , standing orders act, equal remuneration act and other such acts have mention of wage register, deduction and penalty registers etc.
The employment is the contact between an employee and the employer and the employer has undertaken to pay the employee for his services to him. Here employee has right to know how he has been remunerated and what deductions are made.
You can make an application to your employer asking him the statement of earning and deduction, if he denies you may approach to labour authority calming you suspect unfair practices in payment of wages (if you really!!).
