if employee and employer both agree to contribute above the prescribed ceiling of 15000/- then the employer can deduct the 12% from basic+da and contribute the equal amount from employer side, alongwith EDLI and admin charges he can generate ECR

Dear Anamika, Maximum ceiling for EDLI is rs15,000/- Consequently for 2 Employees enter EDLI Wages as Rs15,000/- & upload ECR Onceagain

Dear All;
If the wages are more, then for EDLI the limit of 15,000 applies because the benefits are limited to 15000. One cannot contribute more than that because there are no benefits above that amount. However, if the wages are more than 15000, then there is one option. Count 12% on entire wage, contribute EDLI amount on 15000 and rest in PF. That is permissible.

amazing to see that the original query is changed
original is
How To Deduct Pf For Basic More Than 15000?
now the changed query is
EDLI wages showing more than 15000. How to go about it? Employees are willing to take pf benefits.

in such environment the replies will not match the query, so it is better to be reader , than replying to such misleading person's queries

EDLI benefits are limited RS 15000/ ,hence no point in contributing more on EDLI, that is why it is not being accepted. However EPF & EPS can be volunteery above Rs 15000/

Dear Raghavant, Please note that EPS Present Wage ceiling is Rs15,000/- can an Employee voluntarily contribute to EPS beyond Ceiling of Rs15,000/- Please Clarify Employer share of PF is diverted to EPS @ 8.33% UP TO Rs15,000/-
From India, New Delhi
Dear All,
If your Basic + DA is more than 15000/- per month then your contribution will be 12% on your actual PF Wages i.e. Basic + DA, EDLI will be deducted on 15000/- that is mandatory you cannot contribute on more than 15000/- in EDLI and rest of the amount will be added in Employer's contribution.
