As per EPFO Notification No. Pension - 1/17(10)/2016-17/Jeevan Pramaan/32049 the Employees Provident Fund Organisation has observed that as per the gazette notification No. S 26 (E) dated 04-01-2017, which provided instructions to submit Aadhaar or the Aadhaar enrolment ID slip mandatorily along with the claim form under Employee Pension Scheme, it was observed that same is not possible to sanction withdrawal benefit claims in Form 10 C, leading to issues of settlement of withdrawal claims. Thus, the EPFO has decided that the obtaining of Aadhaar should be mandatory for the time being for pension 10 D claims (Submitted by first claimant) and not in withdrawal cases in Form 10 C (To claim withdrawal benefit)
