Dear Members,
Warm Greetings !!!
I, worked in a company in Bangalore in the year 2012-2013. After my resignation, I started my journey in business and not employed elsewhere. At the time of resignation, I forgot to close my PF account. But I have the withdrawn documents in my mailbox sent from the employer. Even, I don't know my PF number and not even applied for UAN.
No, I am about to join in a new firm as an employee. So, I would like to continue my old PF account. But unable to contact the concern persons in the previous employer to attend my issue.
Kindly suggest me, what to do now else what only to be done??

Dear Shibha Kumar,
1. You've left services after July 2016 or before??? if after then you need to have UAN Number & if before it is not required)
2. You should contact to your previous employer first through either phone/ email or go to head office of previous employer & contact to HR Personnel regarding the issue.
3. PF Withdrawal is rather better option than transfer, so go & meet previous employer for withdrawal process.
one thing i also would like to share that Employee do not have power to start or close PF Account because it is completely employers responsibility.
