Hi All,
I have a question or doubt.
Whether a person who was working under state PSU and has resigned after completion of six years of service is eligible to get Gratuity under Payment of Gratuity Act 1972 or not?As the person joined say on 2010, he/she is covered under NPS.So a person covered under NPS working under state PSU is eligible to receive gratuity or not after resignation assuming that he/she has completed over five years of service.

Dear Sundarjayram, Can you pl.state what the abbreviation/acronym "NPS"stands for.

I guess NPS means National Pension Scheme.
I dont see any limitations of receving Gratuity who completes 5 Yrs of continious services while covered under NPS.
Both, NPS & Gratuity, are different entities and have no similarity in benefits.
May seniors throw light upon it.

Hope that Sundarjayram's doubt is cleared by M/s Sarisri and Nathrao. Their replies need more elaboration. Provident Fund, Gratuity and Pension are the triple terminal benefits acquired by the working classes after a long and protracted struggle.
