Hi Job Descriptions for the different position in an Automobile Company.
First of all classify different Depts. of your organisation.
Than classify it with Admin dept and production dept.
You go hierarchy wise, you can search job description from job portals.
To make JD of whole company first you have to make proper orgonogram of the company.

Thank you for your prompt response.
I have the organizational hierarchy.
But the positions are all of engineers, designers, project managers, project lead etc.
Their work is entirely technical about which I don’t have any prior knowledge.
I need guidance on how to edit the JDs. Also how should I proceed with this work and what more value addition could be done.

Hello Ankita,
First speak to the Dept Heads for the JDs of those under them.
That way, you will have the First-cut JD.
Pl don't expect them to give you the soft-skills needed for each role.......they will be able to give only the technical content in THEIR language. You will have to convert the technical jargon into more lay-man terminology.
You can post those JDs here & the members can then make suggestions.
As a thumbrule, it will take at least 3-4 iterations to reach the Final JDs....this being the First time your Company is doing them.
And also, pl note that the final content of the JDs will depend on the purpose.....IF it's for recruitment, they will be much more detailed. If it's for ISO or similar purposes, it will be a shorter version.
All the Best.

Thanks a lot for sharing your suggestions. Its so great that you all have posted your suggestions. I have gone through all jds and made editing too.
I have modified alignment, position objective, overall template, education, experience, behavioral skill , separated skills in tech and non tech categories. Left with the technical part I am trying to get time of managers or engineers.
Any advice on how can i improve this work further.
Thanks again.

PS- I have to edit JDs which are helpful in recruitment, but are also understandable to a non-tech people too; not too much technical. However they should have the details and include all responsibilities of the respective employee .

Hello Ankita,
Glad that the suggestions of the members are helpful.
As suggested earlier, once you are thru collecting & collating the technical details, pl post a couple of JDs in this Forum.
Once you get suggestions, I am sure you can take it from there to fine-tune the rest of the JDs too.
However, DON'T make it too non-technical......@ the EoD, they will have to be attractive to the candidates, who are essentially techies. Meaning, IF it's too non-technical, there's a chance of the candidates misconstruing that the positions/roles are more into non-technical in nature [managerial, support, etc].....UNLESS the positions are really so.
