Please tell, who can approach labour court? Who can file RTI? who comes in labour category. What is the salary slab limit of the employees who can file RTI?

1. Dear member, through this thread, you have raised a number of issues and I think, it will be difficult to answer the same in brief. It will be more better, if you may go through the provisions of the Right to Information Act, 2005 and also the provisions relating to establishment of Labour Court and its jurisdiction. After studying and going through the provisions of above Acts etc., you may please raise the issues pertaining to your doubts, if any, so that the other members may be able to offer their opinions/views accordingly.

2. I may, however, inform that the RTI is a separate enactment and has no relevancy with the Labour Court. However, Labour Courts fall under the category of "public authority" and I think, information can be sought from Labour Courts under RTI Act, 2005.

3. Further any citizen of India can seek information from public authority under RTI Act, 2005 on any subject, whether the same relate to him or not if the same fall under the category of "information" as defined under said Act and if the same does not fall under the category of "exemptions" as laid down under said Act.
