Hi Friends,
I need your views on the distance education Bsc IT program offered by University of Mumbai. I started my Bsc IT via regular college and then due to personal reasons had to complete the last two years via the distance education. As per the university website "Curricular content, mode of examination and the degree to be awarded are the same as applicable to the colleges affiliated to the University of Mumbai."
The final university exams were held along with regular students and also on my marksheet or convocation there is nothing mentioned as distance .education. Can you guys please tell me as an HR what do you look for in a degree when your need to consider distance vs full time. The degree is the same as awarded to college students ?

Thanks Afsar, I agree to what you say,but my question is a bit different. Currently most recruiters want full time degrees . The Degree that MU offers via correspondence is same as that offered through college. Should the HR have a problem recruiting candidates who have attained this degree via distance . The MU states that there is no difference through.

The thing that I want to confirm is that Mumbai University does not have a separate degree for Distance mode , it is all the same with same passing criteria. The degree conferred is the same unlike other universities like IGNOU or SMU. So what is it that the HR looks for ? I recently spoke to one of the HR's from a reputed MNC and as per him if the Degree does not have distance degree mentioned on it they are OK with that.
