I am a female employee, working in a company. I want to show medical bills for income tax. I believe the limit is upto Rs 15000 pa. Can i show medical bills of my father in law and mother in law also??

Medical reimbursement on self and family is exempt up to Rs. 15,000/- under Section 17 (viii) of the Income Tax Act. For this purpose, family has been defined u/s 10(5) as spouse and children of the individual; and the parents, brothers and sisters of the individual, wholly or mainly dependent on the individual.
