Dear Sir/Madam,
I am getting my salary in two components one which is reflecting in my salary & other some part of it in the form of cash.Problem is that this second component which I get in the form of cash is not mentioned anywhere in my offer letter.
We get this amount as welfare & education allowance but it is not mentioned anywhere. I had asked the company for some proof but it denied.Please suggest me how will I put up my salary when I will join some new company..?

You can always mention in your future company that I used to get X lacs + 25000 Rs Cash Allowance which is not written anywhere. You need to learn the skill the convince the HR of future company while having discussion about pay structure. Many a times company do agree upon putting this in a smart way.

Can anyone please let me know few information on this:My current company pays me some amount in the form of cash as a second component but does not provide anything in writing.I have informed this to my future company at the time of interview.I also doubt that my current company may or may not provide this information at the time of verification.Please suggest how to justify this fact?Does it make a big difference if I will not be able to prove it?What could be repercussion as i am not at all misleading my future company.

Hello Raja,
While you can't produce any proofs for the payments of cash component of the Salary, you surely would have this aspect mentioned clearly in the Salary Breakup in the Offer/Appointment Letter when you joined?
You can use it to prove that you did indeed get cash payments.

Dear Sateesh,
It is not mentioned in my salaryslip.Also I started getting this amount after working two years in the company...but nothing is mentioned in black & white.
My fear is what will happen if the current company refuses this amount to the verification firm??

Hello Raja,
That's a chance one would always need to take with cash payments.
When you mention your Salary details during Interviews, suggest mention clearly that the particular amount(s) are paid in cash.
Also, mentally prepare the HR of the new company to hear any denial during BCs--some Companies accept that the amounts were paid in cash while some don't--being cash payments, their HR/Accounts guys would hesitate to say anything like that on-record.
I have seen cases where amounts as much as 40% of the total CTC was in cash--even @ senior levels.
From your end, you surely need to be mentally prepared to take a hit [new salary based on PROVABLE existing CTC]....meaning being prepared for the Worst-case-Scenario even while trying to work towards the Best-case-Scenario.
