To what extent is the use of the internet challenging more traditional methods of recruitment & selection?
From Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur
Hi Logies,
Internet has broken the barriers of of recruitment & selection compared to traditional methods...like globalisation...
Use of internet in R&S is challenging to the extent:-
* Information on your finger-tips at the tap of the keys in google.
* Gives all the info upto date about the companies where candidates have worked. and are currently places...
* CVs availablility on search engines as well allows the potential candidates to apply to career of your company website.
* faster access of communication & interaction..just today my colleague mentioned about the person who might fit in our openings..got the info about the contact details on website & managed to contact him for interview in just twenty mins..
* It's challenging to the extent that you are able to reach maximum target segment of potential candidates.
The caution is to balance the two methods viz technology(internet) & traditional R&S to find the right employee for the right job..
Cheers,
Rajat
