i was in my interview where is the gratuity amount gets deposited if the employees doesnt collect it and employers has no clue where he n d nominees are?
can anybody share some information about it.
and he also asked whether a person completing 4years n 6months of continous services will get gratuity i answered no but he said its wrong and said he can get grauity
can anyone brief about my doubts

Hello Av21,
Usually Gratuity is paid alongwith his / her F & F Settlement. If employee do not come for his F & F settlement, then his / her Gratuity is deposited with Labour Welfare Fund Authorities.
Secondly As per the judgement of Madras High Court, if any employee has worked for 4 years 240 days, then he / she becomes eligible for Gratuity.
Seniors, pls correct me if i am wrong !
