Hi Friends,
I need a suggestion. My Probation period of six months is over. According to the document, probation period may be extended.
My question is:
Should i meet my HR.
If i meet him, what should i say/request for?
Or Should i wait until they didn't call!?
Because of not getting any response/feedback from my HR, i am getting weak on work. Working with confidence is losing. Feeling no security of job.
Please give your valuable suggestions.
Thanks,
Ashraf Ali

You have not informed as to when the probation was over. After probation is over, the HR will go through the performance reports during probation and if it is satisfied with your performance, it will confirm. Thus it may take alittle time. There may also be some internal process for confirmation, like putting up a note to competent authority, recommending your confirmation etc in which case may take some time. If the delay is pretty long, you can, in the first instance, send a mail to HR requesting confirmation. This will alert HR about your confirmation, if the issue is put on backburner, because some othe rurgent work is enagging HR's attention.

If there was any thing in the hiding, you would have already sensed it , from the way your reporting manager or the HR communicates with you. More over, if there were any performance issues, you would have been notified. So please relax. No news is often, a good news .
Wish you all the confirmation !

Dear Ashraf ji,
According to me there is no harm in asking your immediate superior / DH or the HR about your confirmation order. The picture will be clear to you once for all and you will be tension free. It will be an opportunity to you to know your assessment by your immediate superior / DH or HR and take necessary steps accordingly about your future plan.
To reply you question-wise my answers /suggestions are as under:
* Meet your immediate superior / DH or the HR.
* Ask him the status of your confirmation order ( indirectly the performance assessed by him ).
* Do not wait till he calls you. Have a openness policy always.
Always keep in mind that NOTHING IS PERMANENT IN THIS WORLD. YOU ARE NOT BORN FOR THIS COMPANY ONLY.
WISH YOU ALL THE BEST DEAR!!!

I would go with Mr. Keshav, there is no harm in asking about it and I believe employees must not hesitate to contact his/her Boss directly. And HR people also responsible for your questions/query, therefore, you must contact them again.

We all knows that HRD is not just to make and maintain work system under a premises but are responsible for many things and one of them is to help employees with their questions/doubts or say work for better work management and to set a good employee-employer relationship, so they has to answer you.

About your query, could you share the period of your probation or date of completion, which can help us to say more appropriately on your query?

-why did you just noticed that your probation period can be extended and why not your employment be confirmed with them. Just go through the documents/ Employment/ Appointment Latter again.

-What are the responses of your HR PEOPLE?

-Do not lose hope and if you have not received any negative feedback or signs by them or by your immediate supervisor/boss, than I would say you must not take much worries but to be calm and compose first which will help you in speaking with your Boss.

As well, During probation period there is only one leave in a month, whereas it's two or more after probation period. Keeping in mind, i took two days leave . Therefore it's important for me to know - "where i am standing"! Otherwise it will effect om my Salary!-
