Dear Seniors,
i recently joined japanese MNC and i m not satisfied with working culture and office politics. Actually one interpreter is working in our group as a ppc manager, he is very cunning and managemnet trust on him. you can say he is ear, mouth and mind of japanese staff.
He didnt know so much about HR and all other technical aspects inspite of that he intrepts in each and evry thing...wether relevant to him or not.
and the biggest problem is language problem as our japanese staff knows japanese only.
what should i do...stay at same group or should think about change.
but i want to teach a lesson to dat stupid interpretor and just want to know all japenese group facing the same problem creates by interpreter?
Regards.

It will be advisable to stay in that group and make him understand that HR is not every-bodies cup of tea. Let him do whatever he can but you keep the key areas within your control. If possible try to get another Indian member or a new interpreter to serve the purpose.

Hello sweetsmart,
Without touching upon your first query, let me caution you on going ahead with your planned response--'.......i want to teach a lesson to dat stupid interpretor and just want to know all japenese group........'.
To the extent I know about Japanese & Koreans in my limited interaction with them, they take time to trust people & once they begin to trust, they trust for life. So suggest don't waste your time 'trying to teach' the interpreter a lesson. The Japanese won't believe you & you also stand to loose your job [the Worst-case-scenario].
Try to figure-out other ways to handle the problem.
All the Best.

Dear All,
I am still confused...what should i do??
one more reason- there is nothing to do...you just came office....sit ideal/free...have lunch...and go to the home.
it is Japanese MNC and but still there is no work to do....everyone sit free here...may be thats the main reason to boost up internally poltics..
the tendency of here work culture is- you have to show off that you have lots of work to do...whether u have or not.

Probably you have not understood what is expected of you, If an organisation is running in profit, and doing well, all your arguments that the PPC Manager is misleading the Japanese people will not be correct
Your language also needs come refinement In a forum like this using words like stupid and I want to teach a lesson have no place.
