Tax On Super Annuation Fund

please let me know the tax treatment on superannuation fund.. Whether the tax will be calculated as per income tax slab or any fix percentage of tax will get applicable?

Hello Vaibhavi Tax on superannuation fund is as per Income Tax slab. There is no fix percentage.

Dear Vaibhavi, You need to calculate tax as per the normal Income Tax rates. However, as it is a employee welfare trust, you can seek Income tax exemption from the Department. Thanks, Avika

I think the lumpsum amount to be received is tax exempted. only the annuities are taxable as per extant I.T.rules. Pon
