Sitting Late and Working Late at Office are completely two different things. Many people are avoiding going home early due to domestic strained relationship, some people want to enjoy the comfort of air conditioner and internet browsing free of cost, some more avoid traffic jam.
A boss who has the habit of 'sitting' late, expects all his subordinates to leave office late. Leaving office late without a purpose or necessity results in unnecessary expenditure to the organization and spoils the work culture.

We work not just for salary. We have a family and life to be 'lived'- Office work is part of our life and not our life itself.
