Dear Lokeshsharma,
1) Panel damage are calculated and issued through an order by EPFO based on that order you have to remit the said amount. It depends upon the delay in payment made. It is calculated on total challan amount already paid.
2) No. It is a lumsum amount which inclusive of all . From this amount the interest are added with individual accounts.
3) This may be used to pay arrears on omitted wages etc.,
4) You have to pay .005% in account no 22 for EDLI exempted ( 50% of Normal .01%)

we hire jeeps from contractors for two years period. The contractor remits pf contribution to our organisation pf account through ECR and his payment will be released after submission of PF paid challen signed by the bank. In this regard, we observe:
the contractor pays salaray exceeding minimum wages to his driver in reality but shows half of that in PF challen as driver refuses to contribute his share. Is this correct under practical scenareo?
In ecr system, how to file annual returns?
Who has to file the returns?
In case of those contractors who have PF code, is principal employer still bound with obligation under pf act?
Can a contractor with just two drivers obtain independent PF code? if yes, how much it costs and the procedure for that
Please advise sir

THE CONTRACTOR SHOULD DEDUCT THE PF AMOUNT FROM EMPLOYEE AS THE PF CONTRIBUTION IS MANDATORY. AND EMPLOYEE AND EMPLOYER CONTRIBUTIONS SHOULD BE REMITTED TO PF AUTHORITIES.
CONTRACTOR SHOULD FILE ANNUAL RETURNS ON HIS OWN.
IN CASE OF DEFAULT PAYMENT THE PRINCIPAL EMPLOYER IS BOUND TO FULFIL THE OBLIGATIONS OF PF ACT.
