Dear Sir,
1.Qty of CNG stored = 2000kg
2.Location = Rural area ( out side city - NON MIDC AREA)
3.Plot area = 10m x 18m ( company area = 12 hech)
4.Process = Will used for gas furnace ( heat treatment ),welding & canteen.

Hi,
As per Petroleum Act, for Diesel, being petroleum class B, no licence needed for transport or storage if the total quantity at any one place does not exceed 2500 liters and none of it is contained in a receptacle exceeding 1000 liters.
For C.N.G. you need to check in which petroleum class it falls, .
Petroleum Class A means petroleum having a flash point of below 23 degree centigrade.
Petroleum Class B means petroleum having a flash point of 23 degree and above but below 65 degree centigrade.
Rest is Class C.

What I can infer is at present you are using Diesel as a fuel.
This you are changing to CNG (Probably for cleaner environment and costs)
That is realy good.
For Diesel Mr. Mukesh has replied.
Even if you are not in MIDC, you should follow all legal norms.
I shall have to checkup legal provisions under Petroleum Act, but hope fully these should be the same as LPG.
Shall revert back by tomorrow.
