Dear Members,
Brief of the case:
A registered Medical Practitioner in maharastra has shifted to Gujarat.
Query:
1) Should the maharastra PT number be closed and new number of Gujrat to be taken
2) What if he takes PT number from central council of medicine (CCM) and thereby can he surrender the existing maharastra number.
3) PT number at both the places to be continue in addition to number obtaining from CCM
Practice will be solely rendered in State of Gujrat only.

Dear Jayushivu,
Refer to your query on PT, the question doesn't arise if the person has shifted from Maharashtra to Gujarat and practicing his profession in Gujarat State, he will pay the tax according to the rules under Gujarat State Tax on Professions, Callings, Trades & Employment Act.
