Dear Seniors,

Good Morning.....

I need some suggestions from you. I have done MBA in HRM & Marketing Management. I have one year experience in HR & Admin. Presently I am working in Pharmaceuticals company as a Executive in HR & Admin.

On my joining during salary negotiation, my boss said that he will give increment after 3 months. I waited 6 months but no increment. After the copletion of 6 months, I talked to my boss about my increment then he said that send email me about your increment request. I have sent to him.

I have sent mail before October salary. But there is no action. Again I started waiting but still I did't get any increment in November salary.

I analyse one thing that my boss gives increment to those people who are regularly asking about their increments & who put their resignation in front of him.

I feel liitle shame to ask again & again about increment. I am helpless. Please suggest me right way. I want to write a letter to him. Please suggest me what can I write in that letter.

Waiting for your advice.

In most of the Owner Based Company it happens, Work sincerely & when you will get better opportunity take a decision. Better not to beg for increment for several times.....

Hi,
Yes, but Some time what happen, that you are very much satisfied with your current position in the company, & your emoluments makes you dissatisfied only. In that case you dont wanna leave the present company but seeking good salary revision within it & a fobia of stability & satisfaction for change makes you begger to your employer.

But there is nothing like job satisfaction. No P.F. for all employees & there is no LTA, leave in cashment... nothing...... I am not satisfied with this org. There is no professionalism. Acc. to my job responsibilities, org is not compensating me. My responsibilities are going to increse day by day but no salary increment.

there is lack of unprofessionalism in most of the owner based companies no matter its pvt. ltd. or ltd. all are like typically baniya shop or lala ji ki dukan seniors enjoy a good compensation while subordinates like us do all things and are responsible if any mistake happens. i my case my manager don't even check my work before signing the papers and if he has sign some large bunch he ask me to do signature on his behalf. there is no "unity of direction" manager will ask you to do something but owner ask to do something else but ultimately you are the one who suffers from this. I am just pissed with all this.

Hello to all of You,
A friendly advice from my side.
You all seem to be quite young and having some years of experience in HR. Mail me your resume (with detailed description about your experience) at and I'll revert to you. Also scribble down your family details and your readiness to relocate.

Most of the owner based companies boss do not have the feelings of their staff at heart, rather they are always after their set goals and targets. they won't mind whether you are exhausted or not. i will advise you keep focused on the job, work hard, make your best show forth, and above all look for other openings. when you are able to deliver, your boss will live at your mercy.

Dear Bandana,
I remember one thing which my professional and highly ethical boss use to say ' salary is commanded not demanded' and 'beggers are not choosers'. it may seem little harsh but its true. I would advise you to make your boss dependent on you, develop skills which your boss or organisation value. be thankful to your boss that he has given you an opportunity to you. believe me ..I have done it myself. I never demanded but assumed all responsibilities of dept. I have left job but my previous bosses miss me for my work.
wish you all the best....
