It would have been better had you clarified this is US Govt.Report. It is always good to know the figures for other countries to compare with ours to see where we stand and what our National goal should be, how do we reach and what can be our strategy and programs for the same.
I quote for the file you have attached:
"...rate of fatal work injury for U.S. workers in 2010 was 3.5 per 100,000 full-time
equivalent (FTE) workers, the same as the final rate for 2009...."
Do you know what are corresponding Indian figures?

In India for getting a consolidated data is difficult... If you getting it from any govt. authority from India, then also it will not be a genuine one.. Industries are not even repoting cases... Factory Inspectorates are supporting them... In this scenario how we can expect a consolidated data of accident from India???

That is the point, Dipil, how do we change the situation and how do we ourselves contribute to the change we expect. Where is ANNA of OSH movement in India? Is this not corruption and Nations should not do anything on useless loss of lives of innocent workers?

As dipil said right in India i don't know exact percentage but most of company s they don't have record keeping / accident reporting policy's (Especially construction company's) because of our law is not much strict. In US whether its industries or construction if they have more than 10 employees they are comes under OSHA they should follow the OSHA otherwise they will get fine/jail/fired.
I frankly say most of my friends working in construction in India they don’t have record keeping policy because of management they are not like to keep accident /near miss reports in this time we can't do anything because top management not supporting us.
Where is ANNA of OSH movement in India? Is this not corruption and Nations should not do anything on useless loss of lives of innocent workers?
We will change this condition by Team work main problem i had seen in India most of seniors (I am not say all our seniors) they are not ready to share or guide our juniors. Most of our members have this experience when i was working in india my manager not sharing even CHECKLIST's they given a hard copy only (Just this is one example because at the time I am very new on EHS field). But now a days it will change for good example OUR CITEHR.
Seniors please watch/guide us we will change the condition.
