The sun still rises at the dawn of each day
Birds, they’re flying in the sky as before
The clock still ticks as the hours pass by
How can that be - when you’re no more?
Never again will you walk through my door
Or sit at my table with a cup of tea
I may never hear your laughter again
But in my heart I know, you’re still close to me
The phone still rings and I answer the call
And many a time I think, it could be you
Ringing me up as you so often did
To share all the things you plan to do
You’re still so vivid, so very clear
Before me, in my mind’s eye
Bubbly and cheerful, so full of life
Your presence, I’ll forever hold high
You fought hard and brave my dear friend
With courage and optimism you started each day
Positive thinking was always your motto
Negative thoughts, they never came your way
Rest assured dear friend, I promise you
You’ll never be forgotten, even when long gone
I’ll cherish the time we had together
And as the years pass by, your memory lives on..

Very beautiful poem....can feel the love, care and loss that you feel with your friend passing away...sorry for your loss esp cuz I know how precious friends are in life...
When we think of something, they know what we are thinking...they know when the shoulder is needed to lean on, to cry or through troubled times...they are the ones who are there for us unconditionally...
True friendship is rare to find and even more rare if you get to hold on to for the rest of our life..
But dont feel sad for losing your friend...he/she is still with you and will be with you forever in your heart...all the cherished memories you have will remain to remember always with a smile on your face....
Hang in there !! Take care..
Regards,
Priyanka

my dear
Great indeed
We look before and after and pine for what is not
Our sincerest laughter with some pain is fraught
Our sweetest songs are those
That tell of saddest thougts.
These are lines of Shelly the poet
