Your PF account will alive forever until you withdrawn,it is your property,
You can see the advertisement on TV.that from 1st april 2011,if there is no transection in your PF account,you are not eligible for getting any further interest on it.
Why it is active forever: incase of candidate jobless and he/she really needs money, in this period or searching for new job or unable to get the job hence no transaction into PF account then Govt do dot penalised candidate by deactivating his/her PF account.
