Hi Prakash,
It is great to know that you are a MHRM i guess it is similar to MBA ! and you are working with the " Best Employer of the year " everybody would be surely jealous of you .... well we all aspire to be in a company like TCS ! which is the Asia's largest company and has a great track of work culture and vision.
Your query is not clear when you say you are not in HR job i guess you are not part of HR Department ..... right !
My understanding is that you are part of the technical team at TCS and aspire to be part of HRD.
Firstly let me tell you, as a Project Manager your role would be also of a HR Manager and infact all line managers are the first line of HR Specialist as we are the people who 'manage' our teams.
Secondly, being in technical line we enjoy the likes of both worlds, ie a Technical specialist as well as HR person, and that will not be there when you move to a HR Role.
So i am sure you are a great asset to your team having being trained in HRM use the skill to hone up your team and implement all your learning in your team and as you grow from a PM to a GM all your skills will be required to address issues like Talent management / competency development / team building / attrition management / etc .....
Also the labour laws applicable to you and your team are known to you which is an advantage so just chill ... you are going great guns .... you should do training in your domain and build your expertise so that you are most wanted PM ... now cheer up look at the brighter side in life always !!! :P :P :P :D :D
