What type of Life are you Living? What Principles and Values are you passing to your NEXT Generation?
The era that we are living in is very artificial and fake. We try to hide our actual self; we always wear a mask on our face and we don’t let others to see our true self.
We talk about truth, and ask others to speak truth. We have seen that many relations, be it between husband and wife or two friends or partners…breaks because of “truth and honesty” in their relation. It takes guts to “speak the truth”; it takes more guts to “Listen to the Truth” and it takes “Heart of Lion” to accept the truth. We all do that. We hide. We ignore.
Now, my questions are:
1) Are we afraid of facing facts?
2) Do we really want others to be honest and truthful?
3) Are we practicing hypocrisy?
4) How often do we sit and look within to examine our true self. ?
5) What type of life are we living?
6) What values and principles we are passing to next generation?
Looking forward to your comments and feedback

hi Sanjeev,
It is very true. Everywhere there is wrong things taking place. It is difficult to change the other person, so you adjust to that environment.
And I feel ethics and values are only for books. The environment and the people force you to change.
One thing I would like to bring up from the HR perspective. I have appeared for many interviews like Taj Hotels, Fine Jewellery, Ma Foi etc.
I am a fresher in HR and we have learnt many things in our course. But the actual implementation is nil. The way the candidate is treated by these big firms is so bad. I have started thinking wheather taking up HR was my right choice. They call us mimimum for 2 or 3 interviews and don't even have the courtesy to inform about the decision. Their standard sentence, " We will inform you later." Their later never comes. How much time it takes to drop a email or make a phone call to the candidate whom you have been calling at your office a number of times. Now where are the ethics of the HR managers gone.
I want to ask you all HR recruiters one thing :
Why the NO response is given to candidate properly. Why can't you spend a moment and give the candidate his/her feedback. If not as a professional behavior, atleast for the sake of social responsibility.
The height was at Fine Jewellery. They had taken 4 interviews of mine. The HR person Madhuri calls n informs me that its 99% done and tells me to bring the documents. And when I go there she informs me that we will let you know later. And then she neither calls or sends a email. When asked for feedback the head Mr.Narayan says her body language was a problem. So it takes 4 interviews to judge a persons body language. If a company does not choose us, that is not a problem then why is it not a timely decision.
So here comes another question for the recruiters:
Why so many interview rounds? A screening interview and a final interview is understood. I think it has become a trend to take a large number of interview and still what happens. Attrition rate is the same!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We were taught great things about time management. But we are kept waited in every interview for hours. I think seniors have forgotten that they were also students like us!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
They are really teaching us how to behave with people!!!!!!!!!!!!
Please share your thoughts!!!!!!!!!! It must have happen with many freshers like me!!!!!!!!!!!!! Few examples are in my own class.
Thanks & Regards,

Dear Tanvini
Thanks for sharing your experiences. To start with, I have shared somewhere on this platform about the soft-skills required by all HR Professionals to be successgulo in the profession. You can read about that at
<link no longer exists - removed> and <link outdated-removed> 0834
And I have also shared somewhere on this forum that
“What is Important to Grow in Career and Profession? Your Looks; Networking; Talent; Intelligence or Knowledge”; you can read that at <link no longer exists - removed>
Though, I feel that these two topics will answer all your queries but I still like to answer your concerns.
“To give the feedback of interview or not to give the feedback of the interview”, we all are in dilemma and this is a debatable topic. I have always advocated for “Proper & communication from HR Department” and hence I feel that Recruitment Manager or recruitment Consultant should give the feedback of interview.
On the contrary to that, I have seen that our youngsters are not matured enough and they are very emotional. They find it very difficult to accept REJECTIONS. They start crying. They faint. They start arguing. They start justifying their performance in the interview. Recruitment Manager in a good MNC takes interviews for 30-50 people in a day and if he have to explain every candidate why he or she has been rejected, it will be very difficult for him to work and meet his targets. Hence, there is a practice of not to give any feedback to candidates who are rejected.
Yes, I am with you, when you mentioned about timings; long wait; N number of Interview Rounds etc and here it is a fault of HR Professional that he or she has failed to manage the show and schedule the interviews properly.
On personal front, let me know where you are based at and what type of job you are looking. We do have some openings in HR and we are considering fresher as well. Do communicate in that regard on my personal e-mail id

Dear Sanjeev,
Thanks a lot for replying. And thanks a lot for the links you have given. I agree with you that it is difficult to give feedback for each candidate. But atleast inform them my email or call the final decision wheather selected or rejected. If not the interviewer definitely his/her subordinate can do it.
And thanks for your consideration.
