Navigating Employment Contract Issues: Termination, Bond Paper, and Legal Action Concerns - CiteHR

I attended an interview for Knoah Solutions in Hyderabad on April 28th, and they provided me with the offer letter on the 29th, asking me to join the company on April 30th. On the company's copy of the offer letter, I signed to accept the offer.

I had been unwell since April 25th, before the interview date. Despite my health issues, I attended the interview and informed my Operations Manager about my condition. After working for three days, I realized I couldn't continue due to my health. When I asked for a day or two off to recover, the manager denied my request. Disregarding his instructions to come to the office, I took a day off and felt better. However, the HR department was informed of my absence, and they warned me of termination if I took another leave within the next three months. Despite this, I continued working. I live 32 km away from the company and was promised transportation (pick and drop) by the Operations Manager from day one, which was not provided. According to the transport policy document they gave me, I was entitled to transportation from the beginning, but the manager stated it would only be provided after a two-week training period.

The health issue I mentioned was similar to dysentery/diarrhea, and on my way to the office yesterday, I had to stop twice. I informed my Operations Manager about the delay. Shortly after, the HR department called to inform me of my termination. Another HR representative then threatened legal action, demanding 50,000 INR (approximately 1111 USD) due to my signed offer letter copy, which they possess.

The HR team instructed me to attend training without missing a day, regardless of my health or the transportation policy. They emphasized that my salary would only commence once I signed a 50,000 bond/contract for six months, which I have not done. They provided me with the bond paper that includes the company's details but remains unsigned.

I suspect they terminated me not for taking leave during training but because I haven't signed the bond. They are using my leave as the official reason for termination. I am concerned about having to pay 50,000 to the company based on my signature on the offer letter.

I have not received an acceptance letter or an ID card. The company has not fulfilled its promise of transportation or created my employee profile, stating that nothing will proceed until I sign and submit the bond.

What should I do? Will I face legal consequences for not paying 50,000? I cannot afford this amount. Can I take legal action against the company for failing to uphold their promises, pressuring me to sign a bond, and disregarding employee health concerns?

Well, I emailed the HR detailing everything that happened. The Head of HR called me and asked me to come to the office for a discussion. I informed him that I am going to file a case against them as they breached their own policies in several instances. For example, they promised me a cab service which did not materialize. Additionally, their policy states that exceeding 5 unplanned leaves in a month could lead to termination. However, in my situation, the leave taken was not unplanned, let alone occurring 5 times.

Regardless, should I go there as he requested? I am feeling a bit fearful and suspicious about their intentions in wanting me to come in for a discussion.

Hi, If I signature on the bond paper, and after one week if I get any good opportunity can I abscond from the organization. Will they take any legal action..???
