Dear Minal, the availment of Comp-Off depends on company to company. It is generally mentioned in the Leave Policy of an organization.
My previous org. had a max. limit of 3 months for availing Comp-Off, whereas my current has for the whole year.

Dear Minal, In our organisation we have to take the Comp Off with in 1 month otherwise it will be get lapsed. It is purely in the hands of the management to decide the same. Regards, Aswin

Com. Off is given as per the Factories Act Provisions. Com. Off is provided to the employee if he works on a Weekly off day. Com Off can be availed within in a months time in which the holidays/Weekly off were due to him or within the two months immediately following that month, compensatory holidays of equal number to the holidays so lost.

All above are very right, comp. off. can be taken within 1 month can be extent to more two months i.e. from day of worked on holiday / weekly off counting of 3 months starts.
