Is there need of more women empowerment ,if yes then why .if no then why womens are still discriminated in the society ....... as we have the enough laws to protect the intrests of womens in the society...

There are enough laws to protect the intrests of womens in the society but still we are not able to protect the intrests of the womens in the societY. I find the lack of awerness among the womens .We need to aware womens about there rights. There are enough laws to protect there intrests but these laws will prove fruitfull when womens will be aware of their rights and they will come forward before the authorties.women should be empowered to become couragess and come forward with their rights.womens should not be sacred of anyone ,we have made the laws for womens -as such they need not to be sacred and should come forward.Need of the hour is not to empower more womens need of the hour is to aware and encourage womens about their rights and they should not hesitate to come up with their rights.......

Hi,

I really do not know what exactly you are trying to ask/ ascertain. However sticking to the first line of your question would try to put forth my views.

a) What is empowerment?: Process/ activity through which you authorise some body to do certain acts independently. You give them some authority and power to exrcise and experience. This was not earlier given to the person or the person was not allowed to access it.

b) Why Empowerment : Empowerment is required even when people are aware about their rights/ power but still are not able to use that. Due to various reasons in the system they may be deprived of using their right. In that case just awareness is not enough. You require a supporting system to make them to use their rights.

A biggest example is that of political reservations. Though they are aware of their rights and get elected, the ladie are still controlled by their husbands/ fathers. So many of the elected representatives become dummy and their husbands/ fathers control their activities. However with right empowerment they use the awareness, right and power in the best way it is designed to be used for.

Despite the critics still Mrs. Indira Gandhi, Sirimavo Bandarnayake, Maggie Thatcher, are considered the best world leaders. They had awareness and access to their empowered stauts freely.

The other example is that of self help groups of ladies which have opened the new vista of economy for ladies in finance. Earlier it was typically the male member who used to play the role of provider and naturally used to undermine the women. Now that with the changed scenario it is not so any more in atleast a part of the rural society.

Hope this clarifies why empowerment.

Kind regards

Hello,
Laws are useless when police, lawyers, judges, polititians and other officials are currupt. The currupt system makes a wealthy man more powerful than educated and well-informed woman.
