I have recently got a job offer from a reputed company and am looking forward to working with them. They have sent me the offer letter in pdf format attached in an email from their official e-mail id, marking the same to other senior members of the team. But the pdf is not under signed by any authority. They informed that the signed offer letter will be given on the date of joining.
Is there any risk if i resign from my current organization before getting a signed copy of the offer letter from them?

well it all depend upon the company size & markt value. Normally some company send the scan copy of the offer letter to candidate to save time n energy after all discussion.
According to me under IT Act sms & email is legal document to prove in court.
In your case you can ask for the sign scan copy of the offer letter through email or can ask them to courier it to you....but be polite with them as they are your future employer...Also if you know someone in that company cross check the procedure of extending offers and details of the person marked in the email.
Rest believe in yourself ...all is well..

Thanks Rohit!
They have sent me the Offer Letter on mail but my only concern is that they had mentioned on mail that after my acceptance of the offer on e-mail, they'll send me a signed copy of the offer letter.
But, now after i accepted, they are saying that its ok for me to resign without the signed offer letter and i find it risky to resign from my current post on the basis of the verbal communication.
Pls guide.

thats ok..its matter of trust..if the organization is good they will not get into all crap...yes you have to accept the offer by signing ... in your case offer is extended to you through email so you have to acknowledge that through email only.
