Dear All,
We have more than 100 employee in the comapny Is it mandatory requirement to apply for the certifying Standing order? if not
Which standing orders will applicable to us?
You advise /inputs will be highly appreciated.

If your industrial establishment employs 100 or more workers it is mandatory for you to draft Standing Orders and get it certified by the competent authority of the State's Labour department. Even otherwise, it is always desirable to have standing orders as the same is a basic document which defines the relationship between the employer and the employees.

It should be an “industrial establishment”, as defined by the Payment of Wages Act.
it should be an establishment of a person who, for the purpose of fulfilling a contract with the owner of any industrial establishment, employs workmen;
it should be an establishment of a class notified by either the Central Government or the
State Government concerned.
