If an employee (manager level) meets with an accident during his duty ,and is recommended bed rest what type of leave will it be considered and is he eligible for the salary for those days?

If the employee is covered under group insurance scheme the medical expenses are born by the insurance co.
Some insurance schemes are there where the they pay medical Plus Wages upto a fix sum of insurence made.
