It depends in the labour laws based on region where you are being employed. Offer letter is not a valid contract. Its an "OFFER LETTER" with statements clearly mentioned which can be accepted or rejected by the candidate and same time OFFERED and can be WITHDRAWN (Before resuming the duties) by employer in some cases.
