Dear Friends,
I need to clarify a basic compliance of an organisation. Is Payslip mandatory to be provided to the employees. Who has to process this (Accounts Team or HR [responsible]). can this be optional to a company. Kindly reply ASAP.
We do issue Form 16 and get the signatures for the credit of salary in the register, wherein the employees could be aware of the calculations etc...
When we receive a request for the payslip for loan processing, credit card etc..., we would issue salary certificate. Else we would ask the recipient to call us directly for the confirmation of the details. Is this right.

Dear Pushparaj. A,
Issue of wages slips is mandatory under the Minimum Wages Act,1948.If the establishment is covered under this Act then wages slips are to be issued to the employees a day prior to the disbursement of wages. The wages slips are to be signed by the pay-in charge. Work of issuance of these slips is to be seen by HR department as the work relates to implementation of labour laws.
