What if I don't tell them but they find out? So many questions weigh on us when we consider hiding the truth. Yet, revealing the truth may also carry serious implications in our view. What is the best course of action?

Why concern ourselves with a fragile relationship that may break for any reason?
A strong relationship can withstand any challenge. In a strong relationship, we anticipate disagreements but trust that things will ultimately return to normal. In a strong relationship, we are fully open with each other. We share everything with our partner and are confident that no rift will occur.

Deciding not to be brutally honest does not create a license to be dishonest. It is sometimes wiser to keep painful observations to oneself. Lying causes pain when the truth is revealed. Distinguishing between the two is a fine line. The ability to discern which is acquired by a moral conscience as we live and learn.
