Reflections: Enriching Ourselves, Inspiring Others
2005 - 2006

Note from the Editor
A wise man once told me, “What makes a better physician is whatever makes a better person.” In creating this publication I have come to realize that there are many ways in which individuals enrich their lives. Some do it through art and literature, others through music and recreation. The possibilities are endless and no less fulfilling. The following pages contain poetry, paintings, creative writing, photographs and inspiring thoughts, all originating from members of the Indiana University School of Medicine community, all inspired by their work as healthcare providers. As unique and varied as the creative pieces are within this publication, each and every one served a similar purpose in allowing the author or artist to better themselves, and therefore their work. It is my hope that in reading this you will benefit similarly.
