Hi all,

I am Humera. It's a pleasure to be a part of this forum. I am an MBA graduate (with 1.6 years of experience in core HR) and have recently undergone training in SAP-HR. I am currently in search of a good job or considering taking my certification exam. I have a strong background in SAP platform in the HR module. If any of you have queries related to SAP-HR, please feel free to email me at humera.jabeen@yahoomail.com.

I would appreciate it if experienced SAP consultants could guide me on whether to go for the certification exam or directly apply for SAP fresher jobs. However, I am concerned as the current scenario may not be favorable for companies to hire freshers in this field. Please advise!

If you could also recommend where I can find certified books on the SAP-HR module to prepare for the certification exam, it would be greatly appreciated.

I am currently located in Hyderabad. If anyone is interested in contacting me (strictly on professional terms), please reach out via email at humera.jabeen@yahoomail.com.

All the best in your endeavors! Thank you.

Regards,
Humera

Hi Humera,

My name is Priyada. I am currently pursuing an MBA with a specialization in HR. I recently learned about SAP during a seminar. Could you please provide me with more information on SAP? How will training in SAP benefit my career, and how can I access this training? Additionally, I would appreciate it if you could share details on different post-MBA programs that would help me carve out my niche. I have no prior work experience. Please reach out to me via email at priyadasreedhar@gmail.com.

Thank you,
Priyada

Hi Priyada,

Good to know that you have a similar background to mine. Let me be very frank about the HR status in the market - as you know, there are few professional HR jobs left. As a fresher, our aim is to secure a good job and start our career. I would suggest that you first gain some corporate experience in HR for at least a year. Trust me, this will have a significant impact on your career. It will help you identify your strengths in skills such as interpersonal skills, multitasking, discretion, business ethics, and team orientation. Your experience will allow you to define yourself confidently. Therefore, I recommend that you pursue a job that interests you. Simultaneously, consider undergoing training for SAP or joining weekend batches. Initially, join any reputable institution that provides quality SAP training to gain a clear understanding of SAP. I will send you some documents later to your email address.

Hi,

I am just about to finish my MBA in HR and would like to enroll in the SAP certification course. Can any of you please tell me:

- Which is the best institute where I can take my certification from, except Siemens as it's mandatory to have 2 years of work experience for it.
- What prospects do I have if I do the certification without experience?
- What is the possible package that I can expect?

Thanks a ton. Prashansa

Hi Humera,

I have 2 years of work experience in HR. My expertise is in Payroll and recruitment. Can you please let me know how doing an SAP HR course can influence my career? I am completely a non-technical person. I have done an MBA in HR followed by 2 years of HR experience. Which modules of HR SAP should I undergo training for? And how will my job prospects be after doing them?

I really appreciate your guidance.

Regards,
Puja
