Thanks Vinod
In layman language i think balance score card is linking employees KRO to organizational growth and for that it has to be linked to four factors
1. Financial
2. Customer satisfaction
3. Internal changes
4. Learning and developement
I hope i am right.

Hi Anisha

Balanced Scorecard is an extremely useful tool esp for developing the startegic goals of an organisation & making every employee accountable for contributing towards this. The basic philosophy behind this tool is "Happy people, use good processes, Make happy customers, and get the company lots of money"

In our organisation we developthe strategic goals for our company keeping in mind the direction that the company would be taking in the year. Following this every team is asked to prepare their BSC goals for the year which would link with the Company Strat goals. Once this is finalised the preformace review objectives are set for every employee aligning them to the company & team goals.

We have been using BSC for a few years now and it definitely gives every employee a better understanding & appreciation of why they are doing a particular task & linking everything to the bigger picture.

If you are planning to introduce it in your company, maybe a good idea to get an external consultant fluent in BSC to facilitate this and most importantly 100% commitment from the executive team.

hi there ...
we have implemented bsc in our orgn and its going very smoothly and successfuly..its basically on balacing the present and future business objectives.the bsc is based on 4 important aspects of business i.e finacial objective, customer, internal processes and learning growth.generally the financial and some of customer objectives are considered in present performance parameters and last two which are more qualitative are major contributors for the long term objectives.
I suggest do read book on the subject ..the best one is by Rober Coplan the man who invented this concept ..visit websites.Taking the experts consultation will also help you ...they would do it more scientifically..
hope you will find this helpful..do let me know if you need any other info..

Hi Seema,

Good news!! Just contacted one of my friend @GE. They do have a BSC in place.

Also have asked my friend to send the BSC, so that i can share with every one on forum.

So back to your question, With the details that you have furnished the aspects which we can look @ are as below...

- ETOP analysis & BSC for GE

- Presentation for the company

- To find out what exactly GE is doing?

So lets answer one by one...

- GE has already BSC in place, c if you want to do a ETOP analysis...i

doubt

- Yes presentation can be done to GE, here i prefer

- As GE has BSC in place, have a Questionaire developed to

analyse BSC compatibility & has it helped GE and if Yes then in

what way? And if NO, then how it can be improvised.

- You can make a presentation with data as to how the

evaluation of BSC would be done.

- Out of the box thinking : You can very well say that, you

would make a CASE STUDY on "How GE Implemented BSC?"

& publish as a paper

- To find out what exactly GE is doing, i will upload the details once i get hold of BSC of GE.

Cheers
