Hi Viraj, Only public utility establishment required notice to commencing strike(refer ss 22 & 23 of id act) ie 6 week before commencing. Thax Nilesh

Under P utility, services which used on daily routine like BSNL,MSEB,PWD etc etc. and viraj, any employer/own only entertain such union whose who have majority of membership and was resgister under TU act. And please note, other than public utilty sectors required 14 days notice(prior) period to go on strike.

In fact viraj, i was experience all above situtation, when i was working with one of company(pune). Even u can check/refer id act 1947.
