Does anyone remember the significance of July 26th……
I am sure not many… or should I say ... NONE.
The day has come and gone by!!!!
Do you know that July 26th 2008 was the 9th anniversary of the Kargil triumph - the day ceasefire was declared in 1999 after a victory where nearly 565 Indian soldiers bravely and selflessly laid down their lives for their country and countrymen …… for us
Since then this day has been observed as 'Kargil Vijay Divas'
Do we, the citizens, have such a short memory? OR is it difficult to find time between worshipping a cricketer or idolizing a bollywood star? Even a reality show winner deserves more attention. Isn't it?
Think again… there are others who deserve it much more than them
Attached is a letter written by a young officer to his family. It says it all
