ABC Ltd. has been awarded one project at Pune.
We i.e. ABC Ltd has already got Form V from principle employer on Work order.
But our sub-contractor will deploy their manpower for work on or from Aug. 08 as land acquisition activity is going on there.
Please let me know the following:
1) Shall we apply for Labour Licence now or we should apply for the same after the work begin i.e. August?
2) What are the liabilities of the Co. after we got the Form V?
3) Is the liability increases after we got the labour licence in this case?
Please guide me on above issues.

As soon as you get form v (or befroe the commencement pf work at principal employer you may have to aapply for the Contract labour license). After geting form v it is your duty to ensure & observe all labour laws.It is liabilty of principal emnployers and must ensure a licence from contractor. You have to pay only a late fees f or that you pay and obtain the license without wasting time
